"... and that was just when he was talking about USC!"

It's not hard for someone in my position to be immediately won over by Charlie Weis, the new Notre Dame football coach. I graduated from ND in 2003, I don't know that much about football, and I like drinking beer when I'm happy, not when I'm sad. And CW's making us happy more than any coach in my memory. And it's not an "we squeaked out another one" happiness, or a "well, at least that squirrel scored, even if no one else from South Bend could get across the goal line." It's a "God damn right we won, and we don't care if you feel like we were mean to you. We're not that nice anymore, and we like winning!" sort of happiness. I like it a lot.

But, it's nice to know that we can like him for more reasons than the fact that we're ranked, in both polls, and no one's bitching that we're over rated or lucky. CW did a very awesome thing for the first Irish play in the Washington game, and it wasn't just showing up our old coach.

And... When I think of CW, I think of this fake news article that was posted on ND Nation way back when he was hired. I tried to find it for all of you, but it was too old, so the Nation had taken it down. However, I was able to link (God bless Google... I entered "mother f-bombs, USC" and found what I needed) to the "edit post" page that for some reason ND Nation has stored in their massive computer some where... It's in plain text with some crazy html formatting, but it's worth it.

God our head coach is funny looking!
