I Like Finishing Things:

Making pens run out of ink, using up tubes of lip gloss, bottles of lotion, finishing up a box of binder clips or rubber bands. And yes, this obsession is mostly concerned with, but not entirely confined to, office supplies.

I'm almost finished with this stack of Post-Its. I'm hoping that this throw-away mechanical pencil that my work makes me use (instead of the refillable kind) runs out at the same time. It would kind of be like my nirvana.

So funny, cause I'm the exact opposite. I can't make it through half a tube of toothpaste before I get antsy and buy a different kind.

It's so bad, my coworker challenged me to a "Prod-off", in which we're going to attempt to use all of a product before buying another... I'll spare the details, but let's just say an excel sheet, gold stars and free lunch are involved.

I like almost finishing things. Well, I don't like it, but that's what I tend to do.

I like your header, too. :)

I do, too. I think it's because getting rid of the backing from a stack of Post-Its or using the last row of staples in the box is a cleansing feeling. Although I do get frustrated when my pen runs out of ink, because our office makes us fill out a form to request new pens, and now the supply room is locked so you have to ask the person who has the key to get your supplies for you.

Haha! I get nervous because I'm torn between my love of finishing off office supplies AND my supreme love of NEW supplies. I'm sort of in this anxious limbo.

And then, invariably, someone steals my Post-It stack and I have to get a new one anyway.

I'm also obsessed. Like the pen I use. I've already looked at the tube tweice today to see if it's almost finished. It's getting there.

I'm such a freak, I squeeze every last drop of ink out of my pens and hold on to them even if they're THIS close to dying, keep all scrappy remnants of postit pads, etc...as you can tell from my desk. It makes me feel that much MORE deserving of brand shiny new office supplies that make me happy. Call it a Catholic guilt complex, or maybe it's just me ;) I bet the dept budget loves me.

I love finishing things like a tub of ice cream, a box of Krispy Kremes, and an entire Oreo cheesecake.

It about time someone has the same quirky thing about them. Paul cracks up because I LOVE finishing things. I hate have four lip glosses in my purse at the same time, I love finishing pens at work and I adore finishing stuff in the fridge. I hate when things sit in the fridge half eaten. I usually make something new and exciting out of them.

LOL well hey at least their is some of you out there to balance out people like me whom can't finish anything. I WILL not finish a soda but only cause it's gross and I always end up throwing the last of something out.

I like making things run out too, but I think its mostly because then I get to go buy more!

Please don't take this the wrong way. You ladies are weird.

And this from a guy who will gladly admit he's kinda weird.

Interesting, I am the total opposite. I can't finish anything.

My GOD - we were separated at birth. There's no other explanation.

Yeah, definitely strange, but I can't deny that I'm a mix. I'll keep things until they run out, but get bored halfway through and go buy something else. For example, I currenly have 4 half-finished bottles of shampoo and conditioner in my shower right now and five bottles of lotion that have all been opened, but barely used.
