a(b+c) = ab + ac, or How the Pink Shoe Explains the Distributive Property

I've been working all day on a presentation I'm giving tomorrow at 7am to a group of teenagers...

Well, that, and cooking (a beef-onion-mushroom-water chesnut stirfry, a salad with a homemade soy-ginger-pineapple juice dressing, and fresh pineapple slices dredged in brown sugar and ginger, then sauteed over low heat during the entire rest of dinner, and served over vanilla ice cream for dessert), and running around to the store and bringing shoes to the Shoe Man, and my general daily complaining, and it's suddenly hit me that it's almost 10, and I have to get up in less than 8 hours to face a) 20 teenagers and b) Matt's boss. So I need to be bright and cheery and not at all tired and dragging.

So, wish me LUCK! And maybe tomorrow I'll tell you about how Matt got to go on a work outing today to take a river boat ride, and was allowed to steer the boat for a few minutes, and was given a sticker calling him an official "Junior Captain."

Well, really, that's the whole story. But he's very excited about the sticker. More so then when he graduated from law school. Which was largely uneventful, and had no boats.

Ooooh, math!

So
a = time and patience,
b = today's To Do list, and
c = preparation for tomorrow?

If so, then yay! Git her dun, baby.

(And how about a "Facts About the Distributive Property"?)

You don't need luck, you have talent! But good luck, too!

I can totally understand why the sticker was better. Where would you rather be? On a boat with water and waves and outdoors or in a large auditorium with a special guest speaker getting a degree? I totally vote for the boat!

Kiki is right, boats are way better than some silly law degree... now if only there were more six figure jobs on boats...

I think he should get a boat. Think of how much fun you guys could have! Think of all the pretty swim suits you would need to get.

Totally unrelated:

Did you see the pink Dyson? It's a must have!

I agree with Summer about the Dyson! I can't wait to move out of here so I can buy it... of course my lease isn't up for almost a full year. I already told Boyfriend we are getting it when we move into our dream house. (And a hot pink espresso maker by Francis Francis.)

Wellllll? How did it go?

Also, must tell Matt story. I'm laughing already so that's a good sign.

Yeah, I hope your presentation went well. As others have mentioned, you probably charmed the hell out of them.

And is there a Project Runway for cooking? We might need to get you on that too.
