Saturday Photos:

Matt woke me up early, and took me out to bunch and filled me full of French toast and coffee, so I was able to be productive today.

I finished a skirt I've been working on... lazily sewing on beads while I watched TV for the past week. Honestly, if I worked solidly through, I could have finished in about 2 hours, but... If I take longer, it seems like it was more work.

New Skirt

Matt says it looks like seashells, and I think it looks like a party on the beach.

I think if I could make reconstructed denim skirts for a living, I would. I have so many ideas about how I want to make more skirts... yet I've run out of pairs of pants that I'm willing to cut up. I'm thinking about going to good will and getting cheap, worn pairs of pants to destroy.

And. We had a fun bottle of wine for dinner tonight - a California red table wine. Which I bought entirely because of the fire-breathing bear on the front.

Fire Bear Wine

Thankfully, it was good. I'd buy it again.

But really, who wouldn't buy a fire-breathing bear agian?

Oh my gosh. You have the pink kitchen aid appliances...

I've told the mister that I might bake if our mixer and blender were pretty colors instead of basic black.

Oh OK, we all know I'm lying. But I'm still insanely jealous of your pink blender and mixer! :)

The skirt is adorable! Good work agent Marcia!

The belly button! Hawt. <3

I've got a Bear-bear that breathes fire. He also sleeps thirteen hours a day and can juggle me in the air. Would you be interested in buying?

Oh, cute!! I think you probably could make reconstructed jean skirts for a living, or at least for a small profit in between serious-career jobs . . .

Or, you can get in on the wedding planning business. We have offices in Tacoma, WA, Los Angeles, CA, and soon to be Tampa, FL . . . ;-)

I always buy drink based on the label illustration - the better, more innovative the picture, the more likely I am to buy it....

Good thing I'm allergic to wine!

I too buy wine based on the label. There are too many different kinds out there for me to actually remember them all, especially after i have drunk the bottle.

Very cute skirt.

Is that a pink stand mixer in the background?

I hate you with jealousy.

Looks like a fancy headache in a bottle.

When I saw the pink blender I forgot all about the bear bottle or the skirt.

You should be on that Project Runway show. We need to get you on it someway. By the by, I say they look like lifesavers.

And pink kitchen applicances ... I'm totally shocked.

PS - I know no one cares, but my word verification for this comment was "grogg"

you know, I wear the knees out on my pants like it is going out of style. I have a ton of pants in the "these pants no longer have knees. I'm gonna do something fun with them!" pile. Unfortunately, I work full time and go to school full time. We're about the same size - maybe I'll send them to you! If you don't like what you make, you can send it back, and I'll wear it!

And v - that's awesome! My word verification the other day was "faame." It made me giggle.

I should so send you my old messed up art jeans and see what kind of funky skirt gets made out of that. I think you could have something here! A boutique that sells deconstructed jean skirts and office supply jewelry.

I also believe that wine with a boring name or label is not worth drinking. unless someone else buys it for me...I'll take free wine in almost any form.

You could totally do that for a living, and how VERY saucy of you to show the Internet your belly button.

Now give me those pink appliances!
