Work

So, I started my job today. Test prep. Finally. A day of training, to be followed by four more days of training in the next week and a half - and then I get to be unleashed on a class of my own.

I think Matt's happy that I'll be less bored, and maybe be able to actually contribute to, instead of only deplete, the family budget. I'm happy that I'm less bored and actually doing something with my time here. Something constructive. Something resume - worthy. Something... that keeps me from gnawing through my arm in boredom.

And. I like the people that I'm working with. And I know the material. And I'm excited to get through all of this training so I can actually do real work (and make more than $7/hour).

I don't know what else to say about work. The room was cold. Afterwards, I walked over to Matt's office, and got to hang out with his coworkers for a bit. And I didn't get a parking ticket, even though I didn't pay the meter for long enough. That was probably the highlight of the day.

Don't forget to leverage your position for perks from students, like house cleaning and cooking in exchange for grades. Booyah!
