OK, Here's the Deal:

Every time I'm driving on the interstate for long periods of time (or hell, even short periods of time), and I see large trucks with unusual cargo (huge tree trunks, pipes, weird metal machines that I can't figure out, roller coaster seats [seriously, yes, I've seen roller coaster seats on the back of 18-wheelers], etc), I imagine that unusual cargo breaking loose and bouncing all over the road, probably killing me.

The worst are those damn car-carrying semis. And I will go damn fast get around them.

I probably have a problem.

I also have irrational fears, when driving, about motorcycles (um, if they fuck up and manage to make me hit them, they will die, and that will completely be on my head for the rest of my life.

I don't mind the unusual cargo... I've seen giant blocks of aluminum, houses, (those are hell to be stuck behind,) roller coaster track, porto-potties, (also really awful to get stuck behind,) and other assorted goodies.

The worst is when you're behind semis carrying livestock though... UGH!

I was driving with my friend Danielle the other day. She was telling me about how she is scared stuff will fall off the truck in front of her and how she's scared motorcylces will crash into her. I completely made fun of her.

Motorcycles scare the shit out of me too. And I once had to pull over and make the mister drive because a semi cut me off and it scared me too much. So, at the very least, you have a fellow wimp (though I really don't think it's wimpy to want to avoid carnage.)

Me too! Although the trucks carrying piles of timber scare me more than the ones carrying cars.

I have the same thoughts!

I feel the same way about driving. Because I imagine that these people who haul things are probably not as smart as you. And besides, if a roller coaster seat flies off the back of their truck, you're going to be injured, not them.

So no, you're perfectly normal for thinking that.

I once saw a dead cow in the back of a pick up truck in Lexington. Way worse than live livestock.

I can't stand to drive behind a cement truck. I have visions of the cement spewing out and instantly hardening all over my car.

Whatever you do, don't go see "Final Destination 2."

These are not irrational fears.
I understand.
People have died behind those things... tree trunks falling on them and whatnot.
Also, I'm scared of bikers too b/c they are invisible.

ME TOO. I even worry about trucks that look too wide and that might squish me between themselves and that giant white divider on the freeway if I dared to pass them.

My roommate tells me I have a catastrophic imagination because I frequently come up with the craziest scenarios where I end up dead. I do it all the time.

Those car haulers are the cause of most of my blood bath highway death scenes.

I'm with you on this one, sister!
