And Then...

A bejeweled, buckle-shoed duke swooped down and snatched our gorgeous co-op out from under us. (No, seriously, that's the funniest Onion article in a long time. Read it.)

Which means that Matt and I get to keep going to open houses - we have six on our slate today. And we really enjoy it - looking at people's lives? Going through their closets? Looking at their pictures? So much fun. And going to yummy brunch before hand? Even better.

(You should see me at these open houses. I make GoogleMaps of all of our stops, I have printouts of all the places we're going, and a spreadsheet with vital stats and a place for notes. All in little yellow folders. It's the most organized I've ever been.)

The only real problem is that I've completely blown out my knee - I'm limping everywhere, and I'm wearing a huge brace over my massively swollen knee. But I have an appointment with a good sports medicine doctor on Wednesday. Hopefully she'll shoot me up with steroids and pain medicine and send me off to get an MRI...

I'm sorry the house didn't work out. But you know, that one wasn't meant for you. Have fun house hunting. It's very very exciting.

And I understand about organization. Baloo and I went to look at furniture for the living room and I had a huge sketch pad with paint swatches glued to it as well as inspirations for my perfect living room that I had cut out of magazines. The lady thought I was a designer or something. Nope, I'm just massively anal!

Have fun house hunting!

sorry about the co-op and the knee. Take your ibuprofen (or other NSAID) and avoid steroids if you can (bad for your bones!) OK, enough drug advise for the day.

Aw, sorry to hear about the bejewled duke. It was such a cute place! But it's New York, there are many other cute places out there. So excited to see where you end up!
