Wow. I need this shirt.

We had an old Apple II Plus while I was growing up (until about 5 years ago) that had Oregon Trail, Where In the World Is Carmen Sandiego, and Return to Castle Wolfenstein (only my brother played this, but I can't get the game screaming "Heil!" out of my head), and a game that I think was called "RoadRunner" where you picked up little packages, avoided the computer men, and ... well, there was orange and white on the screen and I loved it.

In Oregon Trail, I would always buy no food and then stop immediately and hunt a lot. I thought I was so clever.

UPDATE 11:20AM: I just remembered that the game I couldn't remember was LodeRunner. And I'm at work, so I can't look up a link, but that game ROCKED.

When Chuck Norris plays Oregon Trail, his family doesn't die of dysentery, they die of roundhouse kicks to the head. And he doesn't buy oxen or a wagon, he carries the supplies on his back. AND he makes it to Oregon before you do.

I can also remember this game involving some kind of martian... and I think the story was that his spaceship crashed and you had to explore everywhere to find a way to get him home... I can't remember the name of that stupid game...

Dammit, that's going to make me nuts!

I was obsessed with Oregon Trial and lemmings. I wish they would come out with those games now-a-days. where did the good ol' days go?

I loved Oregon Trail! But the best part came when I got bored with winning and I decided to see how fast I could kill off my family. Wow, I certainly have no soul--guess that's why I went to law school :)

I have an Apple II emulator along with the necessary rom to play the original Oregon Trail. If anyone wants it, email me and I'll happily let you know where I have it posted for download (no strings attached).

I played Oregon Trail in primary school. That and a math/geometry angles related game in which you tried to shoot at the other kid's cannon. Forgot the name of that one.

And lol@the chuck norris comment.

Oregon Trail must be seeing a resurgence these days. We found it on the internet and play at work!
