Inwhich I Kind of Suck:

After last night's brilliant repeat of theBrazilian Shrimp Stew, I've fallen horrendously on my ass in the culinary department. The Barefoot Contessa made an elegant Mac and Cheese on her show this morning, and I, being the sucker that I am, thought I could make it. And bring the leftovers to work all week.

And we had 2 bites, and then my husband made us soup. Though, in my defense, the Mac and Cheese was very soupy, so if soup was what we wanted, we could have just stuck with that.

Oh well. I'm headed out the door to go see the French film Cache with friends. It should be fun.

And. Just a side note. This blog is not great literature. It's fun, it's mostly about shoes, I'm funny, not deep, and if you don't like it, don't read it. Nasty comments are unwelcome and will be deleted.

It's too bad about the Mac and Cheese. My homemade blueberry pancakes were pathetic this morning. The FH ate a half a pound of bacon and 3 eggs instead! Let me know if you need my brute strength - any mean commenters should beware!

I will beat a bitch with a bat... and you know that.

Anybody wants to mess with my girl, they can try to tangle with me... They won't live to tell about it, but they can try.

French film? Yeah I could pretend to be deep but unless it has Johnny Depp it isn't happening. LOL

Instead I choose to eat fattening pizza and read blogs all night long, yeah that's fun.

Hope you enjoy the film.

What kinda soup? I love me some soup.

(p.s. Mean commenter's suck. Unless the person is asking for an opinion or it's a debatable post, that mean comments shouldn't happen.)

I love shoes. That my friend is a true statement and doesn't even begin to cover my sickness.

I am a huge mac and cheese fan - you know that! But I have never been able to get into home made mac and cheese. Don't get it. I'm just a Kraft or Annie's type of girl

I agree with you about nasty comments & I love my control over freedom of speech on my blog. Though I rarely enforce it, I won't post something that is just downright rude.
I love your blog about shoes. Your review of the clothing worn by stars at an awards show is what drew me to your blog in the first place.
It's different than other blogs. I love different.

Man, mean comments are horrible! Why they gotta hate? :-)

Cache was one of the options for this past weekend . . . let me know if it's any good. And if it (a) is in English or (b) has English subtitles.

Why would anyone be mean to the pink shoe? I just don't understand all the mean-ness going around the internet lately.
Whatever.
We should all wear TShirts...
"I love me some Pink Shoe!"

There should be nothing but love for someone who has such shoe lust! Ignore the haters. They're just jealous because they're wearing Keds. And not WELL.

In other news, mac & cheese should never be runny. ;)

Everybody is being mean lately. I'm sick of it and I hate the meanies.

I'm a Kraft mac & cheese (spirals only, please) kind of girl. I did make the Better Homes & Gardens Cookbook's mac and cheese, per Darren's request, for Christmas dinner. It's a good recipe, but you'd need to cut the measurements at least in half.

What about snide comments? Are snide comments still allowed?

I love her recipes usually. Haven't tried to make the mac and cheese--now I'm afraid to!

I love the barefoot contessa! I wish she was my aunt and I would go to her cottage and she would make me hearty french foods.
