Facts About LLAMAS:

1) Once upon a time, I almost adopted a Llama.

2) Llamas are members of the Camel family.

3) Ogden Nash said:
The one-l lama,
He's a priest.
The two-l llama,
He's a beast.
And I will bet
A silk pajama
There isn't any
Three-l lllama.
He's a good man. Knows what he's talking about.

4) Tablet brick potato llama.

(I'm not telling you #5 until you click that link. It's a damn good link. Also: Llama llama duck.)

(Have you clicked yet? Seriously. You're holding things up for the rest of the class. Click already, and we'll move on.)

5) Like me, llamas are highly social creatures. Unlike me, they like sniffing strangers. I think sniffing strangers is gross.

In an un-llama related note, I spent some time this weekend working with cute Doggerel Blogger on her template. But more important than my help, she has one of the cutest blogs in the world. And you should be reading it. On a permenant basis, not just today.

When I was a child a llama spat into my mother's face. Years later I broke into that zoo, found a llama - can't be sure if it was the same one - and spat in its face. True story. The coward ran off.

Hm, I don't know much about llamas, but I feel like I'm one step closer to understanding them now.

I love your site! Michele sent me, but I'll be back on my own for sure.

Okay Dr Marse, are llamas and alpacas related?

I'll take my answer off the air, thanks.

Apparently you're supposed to pronounce it "ya-ma", because in Spanish, two "L's" together makes a "ya" sound.

But I never do. I think it's dorky.

Wait wait. Hold the phone. YOU almost adopted a llama?
Wow. So much about you we don't know.

Does this mean that llamas spit too? Remind me not to stand too close to one.

Oh yeah, and nice job on the template. I'm very impressed with your HTML skillage.

Everyone needs a little llama now and again. I'm eternally grateful to you for introducing that song to us.

My daughter who is 3 loves llamas so much and so I thank you for this link that brought a HUGE grin to her face. She has a llama that we bought from Barnes & Nobles and she calls her Lena. Lena the llama. :0)

This will now be on a minute rotation...

Here is a random story:

My coworker's dad bought a stake in a llama farm about 20 years ago. So during his childhood, my coworker was forced to eat llama A LOT. The dad was convinced it was the meat that was going to take off ANY DAY. Like, the other OTHER white meat.

Needless to say, people decided that llamas were just cute and not so edible. And the dad lost lots of money.

And my coworker gets real annoyed when anyone mentions llamas. Bad memories from childhood, apparently.
