This always ends badly.
There's a slightly better picture of the tiara here. And. Then Court took my favorite picture:
And I was surprised at how red my hair looks - in the winter it's pitch black, but during the summer it gains a little bit of color. Especially when it's caught in a flashbulb.
And don't you think my boss was so pleased with my work today? I'm sure he was.
Then, on the commute home, Sarah and I hit some traffic. It rained ever so slightly for about five minutes, so all the Missouri drivers slammed on their brakes and we sat there for a minute or two.
Sarah and I used this time wisely. Sarah tried on my tiara. She wore it more like a crown:
And Sarah documented the lovely bracelet that I made.
And there you have it. That's most of my day.
And I ate a mountain of sushi with some really good friends. And, as I'm sure you know, add some sternum-bearing, wine-drinking, and new-shoe-wearing. But do I even need to mention that?

A day making binder clip jewelry is a FULL DAY OF WORK, indeed!
Love the tiara!! I will certainly have to try that out at work!!
I'm thinking that you're probably still wearing that tiara right now, because taking it out would involve tearing at the big clumps of hair in which the clips are surely entangled.
Are you still wearing your tiara?
I heart office jewelry.
Holy cow! Your hair! LONG!
HA! You're almost as busy as I am all day...and there's nothing better than getting paid for blogging... ; )
Wow working with you looks like fun! There are times when my hair drives me sooo crazy at work, I'll be really desperate and use a plain rubber band to pull it up. Thanks to you, I will try a large clip thing when it happens next time. ;)
I smell a new line of office supply jewelry coming on!
Fashion AND function! Together at long last!
Umm, you are not selling the colored binder clip bracelet on ebay, well, unless you split the profits with those of us that dug those things up.
Does your boss know what you do all day? More power to ya if you can get away with it, but if he/she walks in and sees you wearing that tiara it's a dead giveaway :)
I'm really liking that bracelet.
A lot.
Is that sad?
Let me know when you gals hit QVC.
So how much liquor did it take before you found yourself thinking, "You know, I should put all these clippies in my hair"?
Just wondering. In case I ever need to convince myself or something. ;)
This is exactly the kind of thing I would be talked into on QVC in the middle of the night:
"Notice how the sterling silver-ique catches the light? And the multi colored precious metal-ette will GO WITH ANYTHING! I cannot tell you enough how much I adore this bracelet and tiara. One. Of. A. Kind. We have a caller...Lena! You're on with Uber Designer Marcia and her very own creations! Only 3000 left!"
You get paid to sit there and make binder clip crowns?! I so want your job, lol.
i think you're on to something, marcia!
How come you're so awesome?
Just wondering.
You truly are a princess.
