Today Was Kind of a Big Day:

I submitted my letter of resignation today. My last day is July 21.

Even though it's completely planned and I've known I was going to have to quit around this time when I first started my job back in January 2005, I'm still freaking out, just a little bit.

Just remember that a lot of what happens in life is unexpected, and that doesn't mean it's a bad thing.

Don't worry. Your fabulousness will translate to the native Ohio language. And you've got a whole month to mentally prepare yourself for this upheaval.

It'll be ok punkin!

That is SO awesome! I know you're freaking out a bit, but this a whole month of getting ready to move and spending time with your husband! It's good stuff :-)

You will bounce back though at an even more fabulous job!
You are just a bounce back kinda gal.

It'll be ok, you will like your new place and you will make lots of new friends. OH isn't so far that you can't come back for a weekend. Celebrate a new beginning!

I'm excited for you, although you will be very much missed! Have fun with the exit interview. : )

Marcia, this is wonderful! I know it's kinda scary because it's "official" now. But just think, one year in Akron, a lifetime in Manhattan, like you said!

Why is everyone saying it is wonderful? It is horrible! Marcia has sat 6 feet away from me for all of this time and I like that! Now she is leaving and who knows what kind of person will end up sitting over there.
This is no time to celebrate people! This is cry in your beer time. And I don't even drink beer!

I can imagine. Change is in the air... It's all scary and exciting.

You won't be feeling so sad when you get to sleep in and lay out in the sun. Woo Hoo! Change is great for expanding your horizons. Great, now I sound like a quote book. Good Luck and enjoy it!

Good luck with the relocation - I vaguely recall the headache that is moving across state lines. :)
