Big Day:

Happy 500th post to me! And Happy 365 Days living in Akron!

As of August 1, I've lived in Akron for a full year. And, even more exciting, as of August 1, our lease started on our place in Manhattan.

Our last day in Akron will be August 16th. Which makes my total time in Akron to reach 381 days. And, as much as I've complained about moving here, about not having much to do, about being bored, I've enjoyed my time here.

But now - we're dealing with the movers, with our new doorman, with trying to go through all of our stuff and get rid of a lot of it. I deserve respect - I sent a full bag of shoes and 4 bags of clothes to charity.

We're so close to the end of our time here that Matt has put a "craft ban" in effect - the last thing I made, a frayed denim quilt, which I will post about soon, left more pieces of denim over the apartment than I though possible. A flurry of denim. A snowstorm of denim. Which, frankly, even though the quilt is amazingly cool looking and easy to do, will make me think twice before making another one.

But I'm not sure if the craft ban will stick - that's a whole 15 days. I don't think I can make it.
