Matt almost got this for me for Christmas, but got me jewelry instead (always a safe choice). But when I saw this painting (and yes, it is a painting, done in all shades of grey and black), I was so in love with it that Matt got it for me as an early birthday present.
It's hanging above my couch, and it makes me smile every time I see it.

It really really is an original. I need to have you over for dinner, so you can see it in real life. And marvel at the meticulous job that this painter did. It's seriously mesmerizing.
