Exciting! And Wonderful!! Things About Me Having No Job:

1) My house actually looks cohesively decorated. There are themes, and similar decorative elements, running through the rooms in my house. I think this might have been true in my old apartment, but it was so huge (3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a foyer, a dining room, and the world's largest living room) that one can only tell now how cool our stuff is, and how well it goes together.

2) I've been cooking much more - maybe 5 or 6 times a week. And I'm getting much better at certain things. For instance, I can get potatoes cut, salted, peppered, olive-oiled, and in a pan with a chopped onion in less than five minutes. I've timed myself.

Oh god, I've timed myself. This is not a good sign.

Moving on.

3) I've become slightly obsessed with Charmed. Shhhhhhhhh. Don't tell.

4) I actually clean the house - something I've steadfastly refused to do for the past, um, 25 years. I think that point #1 might have something to do with this.

5) I'm actually trying to write more. Not necessarily stuff for le blog, but more. This was actually one of the reasons I started blogging in the first place, to develop my voice and my confidence... and now that I'm a confident {insert favorite Samuel L. Jackson swear word here}, I should direct that voice to write about more than shoes and drinking.

6) Incidentally, I'm not allowed to buy new shoes until I've gotten a new job. This is very hard, as I have a $25 reward certificate from DSW just sitting there. Taunting me. Purposefully.

This is a self-imposed ban. Partially because I'm already 1 pair of shoes over my storage capacity, and if I get more shoes, I will also need to decide what to do with the excess. I extra pair is doable, 3? No.

7) I've completely fallen behind in my Suri Cruise stalking... but make sure all of you out there check out the screenshots from CBS tonight and the cover of Vanity Fair - both can be found over at Popsugar. And, I'm sure, all over this magic thing that people are starting to call "the internet."

8) That's about it. But I didn't want to end on Suri Cruise, so you get Useless Point Number Eight.

I just bought three new pairs of shoes for work from DSW. They are all kind of boring though in anticipation of the cold weather and uncomfortable feet.
I am WAY over capacity by the way.
OH, AND, I have watched up to episode 7 of Project Runway now, and I was SOOO upset when they kicked off Allison. She was adorable.

I am strangely sucked in by Charmed, as well. It's witchcraft, I tell you!

I was anti-Charmed for about a day, making fun of my sisters for watching it, etc. But now I can't get enough. I sit there, complaining about how much Piper annoys the heck out of me, and absorbing every minute. I'm not entirely proud of that...

"Suri" really is a pretty baby. I don't like admiting that. 1) because I don't like children. 2) becuase I don't like crazy celebrity children. However, I will say that I still believe that "Suri" was stolen and that Crazy TomKat did a great job of stealing an attractive baby.

I love Charmed. Enough that I have the DVD series!

Awesome about your writer-self. Just awesome. Keep us updated, of course.

Wow, I've yet to see that pic of Suri, and is it surprising that I'm surprised she's cute? Even for looking like Tom?

Thanks for the Suri link. Our VFs had not arrived yet.

BTW, the baby looks completely fake! Note to VF: Too much photoshop can be a bad thing! (Or maybe the baby is CGI)

I don't judge you for liking Charmed. As a matter of fact, on lazy Saturday afternoons, I like to watch it myself. And I'm proud of the fact that I like to watch three magical sisters kick ass in the world of love and demons.

(Blogger is now refusing to let me post under my login. Hrmf.)

Suri Cruise is hot. Being unemployed? Never been, not sure what I'd do with myself if I didn't have a job to obsess over. You should knit something.

Thanks to the post and comments I now know why "Charmed" is still on the air.

Really glad to hear you are writing Marse. Nothing but good things can come out of writing more.

And lol @ timing yourself on cooking potatoes.
