Drinking. It's the Great American Pastime.

Matt picked up some wine for dinner tonight, and instead of searching for something delicious for a good value, he bought wine like I do: Because the label is funny. Check it:

Rutz Merlot

"My life is too complicated," the man muses. "I've got to get back to my roots!"

The Lichtenstein-esque woman muses, internally, "And I need to get back to my Rutz Merlot!"

Frankly, I could drink this wine every night for the rest of my life and not get tired of this label.

(Excuse me, I've got to go now and drink this wine.)

that's totally how I buy wine too! Well, I either buy wine with a fun label, a fun name, or I go to The Cork and ask them what's good (because I have no idea beyond what labels are pretty)

Love the wine bottle.

There is a wine with pigs on it, and I love that wine. It's not exceptionally great tasting, but the labels are funny.

Sounds like an excellent reason to me.... :-)

Of course, the wine snobs would probably dismiss this wine, on the basis of the label....
