When I lived in St. Louis, I worked with a fabulous woman named Julie Nebel Dooley, who was an amazing artist and an all-around fun person.
Since has recently returned to her native Chicago and started to concentrate more on her art. She mainly does pet portraits:
(How fricken' adorable is that little guy??), and she does these large, extensive portraits as well as little "sketches" that are line drawings with watercolors. And I think she's fabulous.
But what really excited me today? Was that she sent around her CafePress store - note cards and journals and whatnot made from some of her pet portraits. But as I scrolled down the page, I saw this:
PINK SHOE NOTECARDS.
I'm getting them, and the matching tote bag. Because there's nothing more stylish to bring to the gym, or use to carry groceries than this. Honestly.
Now go support my friend and buy her adorable cards for every occasion (there are three holiday designs, too: the snowman, the cat with the santa hat, and a pretty star design).

OMG. I am such a sucker for stationary. I am totally getting some.
Those notecards will make fantastic Christmas gifts! Thanks for sharing!
I love cards--thanks for posting on them! (especially the belated b-day card)
So cute. SO CUTE!!!
I saw those notecards. : )
Another recommendation for Julie's work. She did an amazing portrait of Sadie. If our house were on fire, I would grab that portrait well before my wedding album.
