You know it's going to be a bad day when your boss asks you early in the morning if you're pregnant. (I'm NOT.)
I mean, I may have been wearing a very "sacklike" top (it's DKNY, it's silk, it's got pockets, and it's got a big bow at the neckline. It's basically this, but grey, and with cute bow.), but it's chic, not "maternity."
And, seriously, isn't it against the rules for your boss to ask that sort of thing?

Yeah, that's totally against the rules to ask if you're preggers. I'm sure you looked super cute!
Sure, asking about pregnancy is OK, but the minute I tell the admin pool that a lunch of hot sausage is on me today...
Yeah, I WISH I could wear that top! It's not long enough or roomy enough across the shoulders to be maternity.
Trust the authoritative voice of she who is PG with twins. : )
Yeah, I think that's an OK question. She probably just wanted to make sure that, if you *were* pregnant, you would stop drinking on your lunch break. And smoking rock.
Don't you love those questions. They are even better after you have a baby 3 months prior and someone asks when you are due. Well, in my case, I was due AGAIN in 7 months, but whatever.
I think it's actually against the law. It's illegal during interviewing, for sure, so I'd think it would be illegal once you're already hired as well. But your husband is a lawyer, so he'd know better than I!
